WELCOME!  Thanks for stopping by!  I'm Velvet Angel -- Astrologer, author, and inspirational Tarot Reader.  Some of you already know me through the main sister site at Tarot Wisdom Readings through which I have had a professional online presence since May 2001.  But for those of you who don't yet know me, let me take this opportunity to share with you who I am and what I do.  Through the years, my range of services has continued to expand, and I am pleased to bring you my newest creation -- Moon Star Astrology!  I practice the ancient form of Vedic Astrology which has some differences in comparison to Western Astrology (Western traditions being what many of you are probably more familiar with.)  Vedic Astrology, due to its predictive accuracy, has really started taking root even in our Western culture over the recent years.

Tarot, Angels, Astrology, and various other oracles have been a part of my personal and professional life for more than a decade now.  Since May 2001, I have been sole operator of Tarot Wisdom Readings.  As of January 2007, my website work and services became my full-time job.  I left my position in an insurance company where I had worked for 10 1/2 years in order to pursue my passion for metaphysical interests and the development of my sites and services.  I have clients and friends throughout the USA and across the world, so this continues to be a very exciting and rewarding venture for me.

In addition to the main site, Tarot Wisdom Readings, I also own and serve Angel Wisdom Readings, Fairy Wisdom Readings, Goddess Wisdom Readings, Enchanted Oracles, and StudyTarot.com.  Regardless of which of the sites you may be on, you can navigate back and forth among them all . . . or you can stay on one specific site of interest, depending on your personal preference in readings or information.

I am a strong believer in free will.  So no matter whether one consults astrology, the Tarot cards, or another type of oracle, we always have the gift of free will, meaning that it is up to us to use common sense in making our decisions in life.  Astrology and other forms of divination can be extremely enlightening to help us look at possibilities, forecasts, predictions, etc.  But no form of divination will take our free will and choices in life away from us -- nor do these tools serve to make our decisions for us.  We are each responsible for the choices we make.  We choose our destinies through those choices, and so what we do or don't do today can influence our tomorrows.

All of the metaphysical tools that I work with bring a calming energy to me.  I have great passion and commitment to the work that I do, and as this is my full-time work, it's a wonderful exchange between myself and clients.  For myself, I can't think of a better way to earn a living than doing what I love to do.  It's an opportunity to help others as friend, coach, and guide.  It's an honor that I cherish, and I am ever so grateful for the opportunity to pursue my life work.

I am also a grandmother and full-time caregiver for my 3-year old grandson, whom my husband and I have had almost from the time he was born.  What a joy to have him in my life!  Having the work I love to do and this little family who are so near and near to me . . . I couldn't ask for anything more!

P.S.
"Velvet Angel" is my nickname -- the name I am known for in my work and the pen name used in the writing of my books . . . but of course, I do have a given birth name, which is Sharon.   I thought I would mention that as I sometimes get questions wondering if Velvet Angel is my real name.  This nickname came about during the time I spent as a volunteer on a free reading site during my early days in working with the Tarot . . . and the name just kind of "stuck" ever since :-)
